The San Diego Comic-Con International

If you love entertainment, it is time that you go outside of Singapore. Going to the famous San Diego Comic-con is a good idea. The San Diego Comic-con is a must-see event for all entertainment fans out there. Bringing your family with you seems to be a better idea.

The convention is held every year in San Diego, California. Founded in 1970, the convention showcases comic, science fiction and fantasy books, films, anime, manga, video games and many more. This is dubbed by Forbes as the world’s largest comic book convention in the world.

This year, the San Diego Comic-con International was held at the San Diego Convention Centre, Qualcomm Stadium, Harbor Club Condominiums, San Diego Marriott Hotel and Marina, Westfield Horton Plaza, etc. on July 24 to 27, 2014. If you did not catch this event, there is always next year. You only have to book your travel as early as possible so you will not miss it.

The official magazine of the convention is Comic-Con Magazine. The event is well attended. In fact, overcrowding is an issue every year. In 2010, the San Diego Convention Centre was filled with more or less 130,000 attendees. The event is too big for the San Diego Convention Centre. Regardless, it will be the home of Comic-con until next year.

The good news is that there is a proposed expansion of the convention centre. The California Coastal Commission approved the expansion of the convention centre costing $520 million. This will increase the space to accommodate more people. The project will be the home of Comic-con until 2016.
