What to Expect during the Singapore Airshow

If you are a fan of aerobatic shows, you will be happy to know that the Singapore Airshow will be held on February 11 to 16, 2014. You need to cancel all your appointments on this day and bring your children and friends at the Changi Exhibition Centre. This is the biggest and the finest aviation show here in Asia.

Singapore Airshow was previously known as the Changi International Airshow. It is a regular show held every two years that started in February 24, 2008. Apart from the Airshow which is the highlight of the event, there are other activities to include conferences, seminars and displays.  Singaporeans are excited to witness the aerial display because of the teams joining this year. If you want to catch the action, you should note the following things:

 Trade Days

On February 11, 2014, it will open from 12pm to 5pm. On February 12-14, 2014, it will open from 9:30am to 5pm. In February 15 and 16, it will open from 9:30am to 5pm. During the trade days, guests and professionals are allowed to enter but the organizers hold the right to deny entry to minors (below 18 years old) and non-trade guests.

Ticket Prices

Aside from the airshow, seminars, conferences and displays, you can get a chance to see meet the pilots where you can get photos and their autographs. But before anything else, you need to purchase the ticket. Tickets can be purchased through SISTIC or SISTIC outlets nationwide. For advance booking, you should call +65 6348 5555. For adults, the ticket price is S$22. For children (ages 3-12 years old), the ticket price is S$9. For group of four packages, the ticket price is S$144. For children below 3 years old, the admission is free.

Prohibited Items

As a guest or spectator, you have to note the prohibited items and never carry it with you during the event. You should not bring firearms, stun guns, fireworks, flare, knuckle duster, baton, machete, pepper spray, tear-gas spray, bow, metal spear, lighter and other sharp items that can harm other people or can incite violence and hostility.
